She is the owner of Canine Wellness Centre Inc. since 2004, Ontario's first to provide rehabilitation for small animals. The center provides rehabilitation with the use of various modalities to support dogs recovering from both soft tissue injuries, surgery and neurological conditions. She as a passion for senior dogs and puppy injury prevention as well as fitness in dogs.
During the past 17 years, she has become passionate about the recognition and treatment prevention of injuries in athletic dogs and puppies. As part of this understanding, she has been utilizing therapeutic exercise programs for many of her clients to help prevent injury, and support senior dogs.
Tania also provides seminars to various dog sport groups on a regular basis. These seminars include core conditioning, dealing with the senior dog, understanding pain management and keeping your pet dog free of injury. She has been called in to evaluate movement and conformation at sheep herding and agility trials. She has spoken at Therapy Dogs of Canada on several occasions on nutrition and injury prevention of therapy dogs. Further seminars has taken her to USA to the STAAR conference to teach veterinarians, Veterinary Technician's and physical therapists in the area of hydrotherapy, Senior dogs, and Therapeutic exercise protocols
Tania was the past marketing chair office for the National Board Certification of Animal Acupressure and Massage (NBCAAM). She also maintains a charity, Rehab for Rescues, to ensure proper rehabilitation is given to dogs in foster care so that they can find a forever home.
She was a contributor to Ontario's largest pet magazine; Dogs Dogs Dogs providing information to pet owners on injury prevention. She has also been a guest writer for Animal Wellness Magazine. Locally she has been seen on City TV's Animal Housecalls, and Global Television's Making a difference with Susan Hay and the Steven and Chris Show on CBC. More recently she was featured on a segment on the Pet Network, discussing weight loss and fitness for canine companions.
Tania and Border Collie's Jake & Ben, participate in sheep herding.
Her love for animals has driven her to continuously strive to treat animals with rehabilitation techniques to a higher level. Her dedication has been a labor of love and will continue to be so.
